How to Take Care of Fresh Flowers: Bouquets & Floral Boxes

Fresh flowers are delicate and need a little care to stay beautiful for longer. With these simple steps, you can enjoy your arrangement for as many days as possible.

At Alejandria Flower Art, all our flowers are fresh and premium, and proper care will help them last even longer.

How to Care for Hand-Held Bouquets

1. Trim the Stems

Cut about 1 inch from the stems at an angle before placing them in water. This helps the flowers drink water better.

2. Place in Clean Water

Use a clean vase with fresh, room-temperature water. This keeps your flowers healthy and hydrated.

3. Change the Water Every 1–2 Days

Fresh water is key! Change the water and lightly trim the stems again to extend their life.

4. Keep in a Cool Place

Avoid direct sunlight, heat, and air vents. Flowers last longer in a cool indoor space.

How to Care for Floral Boxes (With Oasis)

1. Do Not Remove the Flowers

Your arrangement is designed to stay inside the floral foam (oasis). Removing them can make them wilt faster.

2. Add Water to the Foam

Every 1–2 days, slowly pour a small amount of water directly into the floral foam (oasis) to keep it moist.

3. Keep Away from Heat and Sun

Place your floral box in a cool area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

4. Do Not Overwater

The foam should be moist, not flooded. Add water gently and in small amounts.

Extra Tips for Longer-Lasting Flowers

  • Keep flowers away from fruits

  • Remove any wilted flowers

  • Handle your arrangement gently

  • Keep indoors for best results

With the right care, your flowers will stay fresh, elegant, and beautiful for days to come.
